The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation (NFFF) is a nonprofit organization established by Congress to honor and remember America's fallen firefighters. Its mission includes supporting the families of fallen firefighters, providing resources to assist their families in rebuilding their lives, and working to reduce preventable firefighter deaths and injuries.
The National Fallen Firefighters High School Student Scholarship is designed to support motivated 11th and 12th grade high school students who are interested in the fire service, public safety, leadership, and community service.
Five selected recipients will receive a $3,000 educational scholarship to be used for training and educational opportunities, along with full attendance at a public safety related conference that the NFFF will help identify. This opportunity is designed to expose students to fire service careers, leadership development, and professional education at the national level. Travel and lodging will be included as needed, and an adult chaperone of the recipient's choice will also be provided with travel accommodations and full attendance at the conference.
Applicants will be evaluated based on a short, written essay and a brief video submission. The instructions for these submissions follow in this application.
